We all know about the present day "Dooms Day" Theory of December 21, 2012 . This date is so fascinating because others and the Mayans, a great ancient society with vast knowledge of astrology and math, predicted the end of the world 1000's of years ago. The Mayan's predict an extraordinary event will occur called the Dark rift. The sun will align with the center of the milky way galaxy. This event only occurs every 26,000 years. Nostradamus, who prophecies have proven to be factual or come true predicts the same thing 1000's of years later. The exact date may differ but the month and year are December 2012. The Mayans predict the earth will be destroyed by earthquakes. The concern is why did they all get the exact (give a day or two)date. On the flip side opponents say December 21, 2012 was the end of the Mayan calendar and it would indicate a new beginning. Personally, I can't wait for Jesus return to take his children home. Many believe we are witnessing and living in the earth's final days. All we need to do is look at the signs: freaky weather, economic chaos, the vile and sadistic acts of men and women against our children and each other, the Sodom and Gomorrah of homosexuality, dysfunctional and corruption of politics, senseless killing and taking of life over clothes or you looked at me funny, wars, drought, famine, extreme poverty and people have become so personally empowered they truly believe they control their life vs. God.
I want to focus on the freaky weather or Mother Nature. Mother Nature has a huge arsenal of weapons to destroy. She can demolish us with earthquakes, hurricanes, tornado's, floods, tsunamis, rough or choppy seas, volcano's, blizzards, extreme heat, and drought. Below I have a list of some of the biggest or deadliest acts of Mother Nature in 200+ years. Scientist are still perplexed by all the strange happenings in theBermuda triangle. Hurricanes seem to be more deadly this past century. A 26 foot tidal wave crashed into a cruise ship March 4 of this year killing 2. That's why I am afraid of being in deep waters. People have laughed at me say this but if I EVER GET BRAVE enough to go on a cruise. I will be wearing a life jacket 24/7. I will be dancing in my life jacket, using the bathroom in my life jacket, and showering in my life jacket, etc. The life jacket is not coming off, you can believe that.
Earthquakes are the scariest to me because they can happen so quick and anywhere and you can't hide from them. You can try to drive away from a hurricane or tornado. This year Earthquakes have recently struckHaiti on Feb 12; Japan Feb 26; and Chile the following day Feb 27.
NASA scientist say the earthquake inChile may have shifted the earth axis which will shorten our days. That ties into the theory of we will eventually return to the ice age or we won't know summer from winter. Shorter days means less sun light, lesser sunlight means less time for crops to grow, etc. It appears we are presently living in times of great planet and environmental change. If our planet is still here 1000's of years from now this era we are living in will be the beginning of all that is yet to come.
This world is billions of years old and we don't know how God will destroy it; but it will be destroyed one day. I just hope if it's anytime soon or in your lifetime God finds you in prayer when he comes to call you home. In regards toDecember 21, 2012 "Dooms Day" Theory I will hold my opinion until December 22, 2011 .
